Let Curiosity Lead the Way|An Interview with Take Out Director Shih-Ching Tsou
Ming Ding, a Chinese immigrant who has only recently arrived in New York, must raise $800 in a single day to repay the debt he incurred from being smuggled into the United States. Riding his bicycle through the streets in torrential rain, he delivers food door to door, hoping to scrape together enough money from meager tips to secure his chance of remaining in the city.

2026 PowerGO – Urban Cultural Playground」|Online Film Festival
What would Taipei in 2026 look like if we were looking back from the year 2146? The third edition of the **City Run-Ku Cultural Games** begins with this imagined future perspective. On Saturday, October 10, the journey will follow another stretch of the Tamsui River. Starting from Guandu Wharf, participants will travel by boat, take on interactive challenges, and move along the riverfront toward Bali. Under the theme **“Bridging an Island of the Future,”** this year’s program features five interactive art checkpoints, four workshops, and one open-air riverside cinema, while connecting with two arts spaces along the Bali waterfront, **Kong Chang** and **STUPIN**. Building on last year’s route, **“Cultural Gateway to the Sea,”** this year’s edition extends the journey even farther, transforming both banks of the Tamsui River into a cultural route to be explored by boat, through play, movement, and a renewed encounter with the city.

The artistic expressions that emerged in different ages are utterly distinct. This holds true whether one seeks out the historical vestiges through their context, or simply probes the most fundamental family values, finally arriving at the liberation of personal desires. I yearn for the old cartoons from my childhood TV, the 'sausage uncles' calling out on the streets, and the earthy yet vital art forms unique to Taiwan. But as contemporary society incessantly chases capitalism, art devoid of life grows upon rootless ground. Confronting such a directionless society, the most effective resistance remains the act of watching – discovering those who still retain their soul amidst the vast ocean of streaming, and cherishing them in the depths of our own memories.
Sound of this movie title
You know that feeling when a movie with powerful, catchy music ends, and as soon as the credits start to roll, you're already scrambling for your phone to search for the soundtrack? You want to put those scores and songs back in your ears the moment you leave the theater. Sometimes it's a theme song, sometimes it's an entire soundtrack, used to recall moving scenes or simply to comfort your ears with music when you need it most. These films, whose melodies I can hear in my head just by seeing their titles, are ones I treasure—they're truly exceptional viewing experiences.
